ARRL Field Day - 2010I spent another ARRL Field Day operating QRP from a mountain in northern Idaho. Everything went extremely well and the only problem was the horse flies the size of 50 cent pieces. They were cunning and dangerous.I camped at 5000 feet with a big dropoff to the east. I put up two wire antennas in the abundant 100+ foot trees. I used my K2 at five watts and N1MM logger on my laptop. The laptop comsumed much, much more power than the K2. I felt conditions were quite good and worked stations on 80 through 15 meters. You can search my log to see if I worked you by clicking on Log Search Here are a few pictures... You can click on them to see a larger version.
This is my camp -- notice the lazy-H at the top.
This is my high-band antenna -- a lazy-H with the top at 100 feet or so and fed with ladder line.
This is my operating position. I used a K2 and N1MM logger -- both of which performed flawlessly, but then I knew they would.
This is a view looking east from where I camped.
